Legend also lends his toolbox to theatrical projects, garnering his Emmy award for his starring role as Jesus in the TV production of Jesus Christ Superstar Live! as well as a Tony award for 2017's Best Revival of a Play, Jitney, which he co-produced.

Great show - not so great sound
This was a really great show that was less than it could be due to the sound levels. I don't understand why it had to be so loud - so loud that his voice was distorted much of the time. John has a great voice and we came to hear him. That was list in the boomy, distorted levels in his mic.

I was fortunate to get these great seated tickets to see John Legend at Planet Hollywood on August 17, 2022. Great seats.
I felt very disappointed in the show as a whole.
I was embarrassed by some of the background dancers in this show. To the point we’re they in the correct show? The shows subject and title being “LOVE†which John Legend attempted to give the audience. What we were give was a lot of chaos. I did not feel a lot of love. I felt unnerved and my head hurt.
