Jackson Browne

Why see Jackson Browne?

jackson browne On tour

A definitive voice of the sun-soaked, mellow Southern California vibe that emanated from Laurel Canyon and spread far beyond in the mid-60s and 70s, Jackson Browne had his first hit at 16 and never looked back! Don't miss Browne live on the road in 2023, bringing his legendary back catalog (and hottest new cuts) to a stage near you!

When his debut album came out in 1972, the world got to hear his exceptional talents. His moving, literate songs such as haunting 'These Days', and the mind-blowing ' Running on Empty' and 'Doctor My eyes' have become part of the pop culture map, inspiring the generation to come, along with peers Crosby Stills and Nash, Carole King and James Taylor.

He began his career at 16, playing legendary folk clubs, like the Troubador, before taking a trip to Greenwich Village, New York City where his raw talent was noticed and he became, at 17, a staff writer for Electra Records, where he wrote for artists such as Tim Buckley, Nico and The Velvet Underground. He was called "new face to look for" by Rolling Stone magazine, and soon after before released the sublime 'Jackson Browne' with Geffen Records and gaining national, and worldwide acclaim.

This year, you can catch Browne as he brings heads on tour across the US. With a changing setlist, this is a not-to-be-missed opportunity for Browne aficionados!

Running on Forever

Came to Vegas to see Jackson Browne and was not disappointed at all. His voice is still wonderful (how does he sing better in the higher range?) And his backup singers are A-mazing, as is his oh-so-talented band. His first songs were basically political and given the state of the world, he seemed burdened. (How could one not?) But the more he sang and with the love his fans displayed, he seemed to enjoy himself more and shine a bit brighter. By the end, he (and we) were soaring. He broke his set list a bit, and an usher told us he played a half hour longer than previous evenings (Thanks, Venetian). I saw him live when I was 19 and only again now, 50 years later. What perfect bookends. Thanks, Jackson, for being one of the composers to the soundtrack of my life!!! ... Read more

No “on the Blvd.”

All in all very glad I had the opportunity to attend. Around 5 songs I related to that brought me back to our time in the ‘70’s starting with that girl could sing . Curious & slightly disappointed that “on the Blvd” wasn’t played since the lyrics match the location, setting the young ones up & so . Can’t always get want u want . Still grateful I went . ... A show with something for everyone

For those with a casual interest, you got your Pretender, Everyman, Running on Empty, Doctor My Eyes, Take it Easy, Shape of a Heart, Fountain of Sorrow, I'm Alive, Looking East, These Days. You got great musicality from his razor sharp band, and you got a warmed up, very toned singing voice. You got a three hour show with a 15 minute intermission. (Hey, we ALL wanted Late for the Sky- oh well) If you weren't a dedicated fan, you may not have loved the cuts from his new album, including the brilliant Birds of St. Marks. The dedicated fans loved to hear the long explanations about each song. We all got to appreciate his wit and humor. He was playing in his backyard and felt really at home and he said so. So go!! The casual listener needs to enjoy the musicianship of the first set and wait for the crowd pleasers in the second. GREAT SHOW!! ... Read more
