Why see Deep Purple and Alice Cooper?
A Scarily Good Double Bill
Rock would be a very different beast without these two groups. Absolute icons of the music world, Deep Purple and Alice Cooper set out on a joint headlining tour in 2017, with Purple supporting their latest record Infinite, and Cooper also debuting some new material.
Formed in 1968, Deep Purple have been melting eardrums ever since. Leading the wave of British acts who were experimenting with a heavier sound, which also included the likes of Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin, they helped to define what we think of as 'hard rock'. They've given us countless classics over the year, such as the iconic 'Smoke on the Water', which can still be heard in guitar shops the world over.
Known for his outlandish stage antics and lyrics that got parents all in a tizzy during the 70s, Alice Cooper paved the way for the likes of KISS and Marilyn Manson with his knowing shock rock antics. He's promised to play all the hits on these dates, so look out for 'School's Out', 'Elected', and 'I'm Eighteen'.
